Why do we believe their stories?

 Addicts are experts at lying. they couldn’t function otherwise. We all know their lives are a mess. We choose to believe that they’re going to be just fine, that they’re not under last dollar, and that they like sucking our dicks. So when the Cousin was calling me all morning to wake up and come pick her up, I took my time at it. When I went to get her, she wanted to just park somewhere and do a date really fast because now she’s in a giant hurry I knew this to be a lie so I took her home and fucked her.
